Five major causes of water leakage in steel structure roofs
Water leakage on the roof of steel structure buildings has always been a headache for householders, so what are the causes of roof leakage?
1. The roof surface layer is directly damaged, and the color steel plate is punctured. Some roofs arbitrarily increase loads, deforming purlins, resulting in deformation of roof panels and water accumulation.
2. The slope of the roof panel is small, causing the roof rainwater to be discharged to the gutter in time. Some horizontal joints are not lapped enough, and in the case of wind, rainwater will be blown into the insulation layer by the wind along the horizontal lap joints, resulting in water leakage.
3. The ridge plate is too narrow, the sealing of the pressing edge interface is not tight, the iron sheet is deformed, the fixing point is scarce, and the sealing material is not tight. The pipes and exhaust channels protruding from the roof are not properly positioned, and the surrounding flooding height is not enough, and the root treatment is not strict. The waterproof construction sealing of daylighting windows is defective.
4. The connection between the roof panel and the main body is unreasonable, and the main body leakage will flow along the edge between the roof panel and the main body to the insulation layer of the roof panel, showing roof leakage.
5. Rust and damage appear after disrepair, and the sealing material at the joint is aged and cracked. This is mainly manifested in gutters and reinforcement parts such as core rivets and self-tapping screws, so that the roof leaks.
