Characteristics of steel structures
.High strength and light weight: Steel structure has high tensile strength and light weight, which makes it possible to have smaller cross-sectional dimensions of components when bearing the same load, which is conducive to transportation and installation.
.Good plasticity and toughness: Stainless steel plate has good plasticity and toughness, which enables the steel structure to produce large deformation when subjected to force and is not easy to be damaged, thus improving the reliability of the structure.
.Good airtightness: Welded structure can ensure the complete airtightness of steel structure, which is suitable for making high-pressure vessels, sewage tanks and other structures that require airtightness.
.Heat-resistant but not fireproof: The performance of steel structure does not change much below 150℃, but after exceeding this temperature, its strength and elastic modulus will be significantly reduced. Therefore, in engineering projects with fire safety requirements, fire-resistant and heat-insulating materials are required for maintenance.
.Poor corrosion resistance: Steel structure is prone to rust in humid and corrosive environments, so it needs to be treated with rust prevention, hot-dip galvanizing or anti-corrosion coating.
