A number of test and testing work for the production and installation of steel structure engineering are not available in general civil engineering, these test and testing items mainly include: steel raw material related items testing (if necessary), welding process evaluation test (if necessary), weld non-destructive testing (ultrasonic, X-ray, magnetic particle, etc.), high-strength bolt torque coefficient or pre-tensile force test, high-strength bolt connection surface anti-slip coefficient detection, steel grid joint bearing capacity test, steel structure fireproof coating performance test, etc.
To do a good job in these tests and testing work, we should pay attention to the following points:
(1) It is necessary to supervise and entrust a testing institution with corresponding qualifications to carry it out;
(2) It is necessary to adhere to the witness system of sampling and sending for inspection, and avoid the inconsistency between the specimen and the project;
(3) For some testing projects, there are fewer testing institutions with corresponding qualifications, the distance is longer, and the cost is higher, in this case, the supervision engineer must adhere to the principle, clear attitude, firm position, timely urge the contracting unit to implement these work, which is a necessary measure to ensure the quality of steel structure production and installation and construction progress, but also the current national steel structure engineering construction quality acceptance specifications stipulated in the "main control project".
The supervision work content of the steel structure installation stage is mainly to supervise the operation of the contractor's internal management system and quality assurance system, supervise the implementation of various technical and organizational measures for construction organization design, and carry out construction in strict accordance with the relevant norms and standards of the current national steel structure. The supervision of the steel structure installation stage should focus on the following links: the rationality and implementation of the installation plan, installation measurement, connection of high-strength bolts, installation welding quality, actual measurement of installation size deviation, painting, etc. Supervision work should strengthen on-site inspection inspection, parallel inspection and side station supervision, especially in the case of low quality of some steel structure construction units and construction still lack of standardization, effectively do a good job in on-site inspection and side station, for ensuring the construction quality of steel structure engineering, more practical significance.
As mentioned earlier, steel structure engineering has to go through two stages of factory production and on-site installation, and the production and installation are generally responsible for the two basic units (production workshop and installation project department) under the steel structure engineering company, and sometimes may be completed (subcontracted) by the two units of the manufacturing plant and the installation company. The supervision engineer should pay full attention to the supervision work in the production stage, and like the supervision work of other types of projects, effectively do a good job in prior control and in-process control, and check all processes and sub-items seriously, timely, strictly and in place. It is necessary to avoid the wrong working method of loosening the supervision of the factory production process and relying only on the acceptance of the components after completion.
